I moved to LA to try to break into the film industry as a writer/director/AD.
Since moving out here I've been production assistant on a commercial and a feature. I was also an event coordinator for Rising Above Fest.
Before moving out here, I was first assistant director on a feature now streaming on Amazon Prime called In Winter. On that project I was also associate producer, script consultant, prop master and extras wrangler. I was script supervisor for a teen suicide drama called My Senior Year as well.
During all this I've been writing. I currently have one script in the hands of a producer. I'm really hoping that goes well. My motto since moving out here is "Hopes high, expectations low."
To sustain myself while searching for work in the industry, I got a job at Bevmo! where I've become a primary cashier because of my ability to up-sell. Until that job I never knew I had it in me to convince people to make that impulse buy. In the past I've been manager and shift lead at other jobs.
I am capable of leadership roles as well as taking on any tasks assigned to me.
I worked primarily with the art department, but was available for any crew who needed assistance.
