To whom it may concern,
My name is Evan Vacchiano, and I currently work as a production assistant for The Price Is Right. I worked as an office production assistant for the past seven months at Gorilla Flicks and studied Film and Screenwriting at the University of Michigan. I’m applying for the assistant position at your company because I intend to become a Film/TV producer one day and want to learn as much as I can.
I want to find new and creative ways to be efficient and effective when it comes to Film and TV production, using the following strengths:
Impactful leadership: The toughest challenges “get done” by motivating and influencing individuals across complex organizations. In a recent role, I had to lead and organize the production of a short film in a 24-hour film competition, which ended up taking the audience award and third place overall. The leadership experience I developed, while working under pressure can benefit your production in busy times.
Script coverage experience: I’ve had experience writing script coverage for classes, clubs, and work. Script coverage has allowed me to understand certain aspects of production. For example, as a Producer of the largest Film Club at Michigan, I had to read hundreds of scripts and vote on which were feasible to make based on our resources and time.
Adaptability and multifunctional experience: My goal is to move through a wide spectrum of challenges as your company/production continues to transform. In my past role at Gorilla Flicks, I worked effectively as an office PA, set PA, writer’s PA, and post PA. Additionally, I created results with producers, directors, and actors by filling in as their assistants.
Overall, my hopes for the assistant position is to build lasting relationships through experience and hard work. I hope to continue demonstrating my fit through the interview process. If you need additional information, please contact me by email (email@example.com) or phone (203-858-0883). I appreciate your consideration and look forward to the next steps.
